So, it's been a while...

I had started blogging about my endeavors in the tutu making world when I remembered that there was an "Antosh Family" blog! Hello, jump on it and WRITE!!!
Today is just another ordinary Friday, with the exception that Kaiden left me, with no tears on his part, to spend the weekend with Katherine the Great! (My grandmother) His weekend sounds like it should be a rather interesting one. He's supposed to swim, fish, ride his bike, and take on the world. The boy sounds to be doing pretty well for himself.
Claire is currently at the beach. That goober made her way down to the coast yesterday and is soaking up the rays! She truly enjoys the pool more than the sand. As Mike and I thought about it during our beach visit, it seemed we went to Corpus to mostly visit the pool. Hmmm, I'm spending how much to play in the pool? Really?! I think I'll stay home the next time someone mentions the idea of the beach. But, we are headed towards a pretty good couple of vacations! We're going to a cabin near the river soon, and December will find us in Dallas with several seasoned grandparents! That should be a fantastic trip.

Oh, the newest member of our family? Yes, she's a real peach and a half. This little ball of goodness is what made me start making dresses and tutus. I know...Not everyone likes tutus and frillies, but she is such a soft, sweet girl that she makes me want to paint everything pink. I know, me, the NON pink person is in ♥ with pink ! It's true! As long as it's not the pepto color...
As soon as we get started on the few projects we have going on, I will be sure to post something about it. In the mean time, happy trails!

We're Married!!!

Well, most of you that are reading this know that Mike and I tied the knot on March 15th, 2009! My supernerd refers to our date as a triangular reference: everything is a multiple of 3. Go figure that he's an engineer!

I figured you might like to see some pictures. They are coming to me slowly, but I wanted to share some of them.

The details

Mike and I have made some decisions over the past few days that include our first dance, having a groom's cake, and cutting it with his sword from A&M. He's excited about doing that. I need to make sure he washes it first.

Our friends, Tim and Misty, are coming in Saturday night. So is Mike's brother and his girlfriend. So, we are going to have a "rehearsal dinner" at Dorothy's house. We will be bowling that day as well. I think I am really looking forward to bowling. I hope I'm better than the last time...

Our first dance will be to "All I need to know" by Kenny Chesney. I am making Michael's cake. He wants chocolate with chocolate icing. Go figure...

We are getting more and more excited as the hours pass. I can't seem to shake the fairy-tale feeling. Mike does it well for me...The other night I had a starry look in my eyes as I watched him just move around our living room. To break the mood, he grabbed the top of the doorway to the dining room and proceeded to act like a monkey. Silly man, I love him for his sense of humor, too.

Well, we're gearing up to have everyone around us! I can't wait!!!

The fun of being a bride

Kellie and I went looking for her dress a few weeks back. While we were in David's Bridal, I found this monstrous dress:

It was soooooo heavy. I thought everyone would get a laugh out of us being totally goofy. I am so proud to say that I have simple taste!!!

I'm trying to fix some lines

Last summer/early early autumn, I spent a day out on the driveway pressure washing the filth away. I was wearing a top that has a racer back top that created an interesting tan pattern. So, for the past months I've been stuck with these terrible lines.

I started to tan to get rid of the lines. I hope to accomplish something before the wedding. I've been twice now, and I hope to go at least six more times.

I've achieved some results. I'll keep everyone posted!

We are getting married!!!!

Okay, so you all know that we are engaged, but you may not know that we are two weeks away from exchanging vows!!! Yes, we moved the date to March 15th. We went today to get our marriage license. I'm so freaking excited!

We cannot invite everyone, but we can invite everyone to pray for us! We are excited to see the day coming to us at such a snail's pace. I know it will go faster once we get past this week. I am so ready to take the walk towards Michael and commit our lives to each other.

The planning has been absolutely wonderful. We will marry at a place called Las Brisas Farm in Fayetteville, TX. Kaiden and Claire will be the ring bear and flower bear. Mike's brother and friend from college, Tim, will be the groomsmen. My friend, Kellie, and Mike's cousin, Kristi, will be my attendants.

Here is a picture of where we will be getting married! It's absolutely gorgeous.

Here are more places to take pictures: http://www.lasbrisasfarm.com/ceremony_sites.php

Unfortunately, the pond is not full at this moment. The rain has not been good to the farm!

This picture is from the inside of the bunk house towards the vineyard area: http://www.lasbrisasfarm.com/images/full/sites_outdoor_chapel_pic4.jpg

It's a beautiful place. Once Alex gets the pictures to me, I will share them with everyone!

Here comes the bride!!!

The diocese of Victoria

This post is in reference to waiting on the Final Decree of Annulment from the Catholic church:

I have already called a few people to let them know the terrible news we received from Victoria, but I figured I better clue everyone else in as well.

We are currently in a very big holding pattern in reference to planning the wedding because we found out that the diocese in Victoria NEVER sent the paperwork to San Antonio to be ratified. Yep. You read correctly. Without the help of someone pressing for questions, our case may still have been floating in la-la land without regards to how long it was taking or that there may be people trying to move on with plans.

So, we are in the talks of what to do, but we will have a better understanding (hopefully) of what the plans will be on Thursday or Friday. We are supposed to check back and see what all the details are and if we are the top of the list of cases to be heard.

When I first heard all of this, my bridezilla came out and I wanted to stomp on something. So, I went home and stomped in the grass. It helped. But, the pit of despair in my stomach is with me. I have faith that the Archdiocese in San Antonio will rectify this situation and help us out. They know that they were not at fault but that they can help.

Please, keep us in your prayers!!!
